Saros: set your own pace

The Zenith update offers more ways to adjust Saros combat. Its value is practical: choosing the effort you want to make instead of being tied to a single set of demands.

What Zenith changes

Housemarque says Zenith has been available since October 19, 2026, at no extra charge for Saros owners. Slow Game Speed offers adjustable slowdown, triggered manually or automatically during combat.

Auto-fire shoots when you aim at a hostile. It does not automate reloading. That distinction matters: the option reduces one input requirement rather than taking over the entire fight.

A personal challenge does not diminish anyone else’s

Our view: more control over these settings is a welcome direction. Someone can enjoy learning a fight while needing additional reaction time. Someone else may prefer the usual pace. Both preferences can exist together.

An optional setting avoids making a single answer compulsory. If a repeated input is tiring, easing that demand may leave more room for the parts you enjoy: observing, deciding and trying again. That benefit is personal; another player’s difficulty preference cannot establish it for you.

However, additional settings are not proof that a game is accessible to everyone. Without testing with different needs, we cannot measure the comfort they provide in practice. This is coverage of the studio’s announced changes, not an accessibility review.

A reason to try again, not an obligation

If you already own Saros and stopped because of its combat pace, the update offers a specific change worth exploring. Adjust one setting at a time to see what helps. Keeping your usual settings remains equally valid.

Housemarque’s update post covers the details and additional features. The decision to return should come from what you want from the game, not pressure to prove that you can finish it a particular way.
